This book is a creepy thriller that will keep kids turning pages! In the town of Westfield, middle school aged kids seem to go missing every 6 years. When one of Charlie's classmates, Johnny Howardwick, disappears without a trace, everyone assumes he simply ran away. However, Charlie is plagued by this disappearance for another reason: his father died in a car accident that very night when he had gone out looking for him. Now at the end of the school year, Johnny and his friends are bothered by something new-it seems Johnny's very existence was wiped away completely as his picture does not appear in the yearbook at all, even in images where he definitely should be! The boys reach out to Mr. Cotter, one of their teachers and the yearbook sponsor for answers. Their first meeting is not what they expected! There's something deeper going on in the town than simply coincidental runaways and Charlie and his friends are determined to find out! Will they solve the mystery or will

Rescue by Jennifer A. Nielsen

I love anything written by Jennifer Nielsen. Rescue  is not different. If you love historical fiction with lots of action, suspense, and family ties then this book is for you. Set during World War II, Meg's father has been missing for far too long and she is set on trying to rescue him. Covertly working for the Resistance, Meg has no idea how she's going to get her father back, but she is convinced she has to try. Along the way she will meet other resistors, though she suspects one of them is actually a Nazi spy. Will she ever be reunited with her father or will she become just another victim in this terrible war? This book is definitely for history lovers as well as people who are interested in code breaking as there are a lot of different codes throughout the book that Meg has to figure out in order to survive! -TK

Frightmares by Eva V. Gibson

If you like creepy horror stories with a few good jump scares, Frightmares is for you. Frightmares is a run down haunted house tourist attraction that has a consistent turnover in employees. When Dave gets roped in to help out he's really not sure what he's getting in to. At first, it's just embarrassment of being part of such a joke of a business, but soon he realizes the real scare when he comes across a real dead body. Unsure of what to do, and definitely hoping not to get blamed for murder, Dave sets out to try to figure out who is behind the murder. He also hopes not to end up next! Set for publication on July 5th, this would make a fun summer read, either sitting by a pool or, better yet, at night by the campfire! -TK
