Don't Let in the Cold by Keely Parrack

Don't Let in the Cold by Keely Parrack is a thriller that all students will certainly enjoy. Lottie is forced to spend the night at her new step-father's ski cabin. She's not thrilled that she has to also be with her new step sister whom she barely knows. When a blizzard moves in and a stranger knocks on the door, Lottie and her step sister Jade have no idea that their night is going to get a whole lot worse. When the snow starts mounting and the power goes out, and the confusion of where this mysterious stranger came from, just how are they going to get through this night? Or will they? I really enjoyed this book. The sheer determination of Lottie and Jade will impress even the bravest of readers, but will it be enough? -TK

Blake Breaker by Victoria Aveyard

Image
Blade Breaker is the sequel to Aveyard's fantasy masterpiece Realm Breaker. This book is huge, but packed with action that will keep the reader engaged and on the edge of their seat! If you read the first book, all of your favorite characters are back: Andry, Coraine, Sorasa, Dom, Valtik. They band together, as different as they are, to try to expel Taristan and Queen Erida. If they fail, the world as they know it just might cease to exist.  I love anything Aveyard writes. This book will intimidate some readers because it is massive, but it will suck you in and you will love every page! I promise. -TK
